Chennai: It proved to be a case of Delhi Belly for the South African A players in Chennai. According to a report in the Indian Express, it is believed that either butter chicken or pizza was responsible for the players falling ill on Saturday evening.
In the match against India A, more than half the squad were down with food poisoning and they did not have enough substitutes. The situation was so dire in the match that their video analyst, Hendrikus Coertzen and India A player Mandeep Singh were roped in as substitute fielders.
