This Italian Brand Just Received Fashion’s Biggest Honor

Big leagues: WWD reports that iconic Italian brand Schiaparelli, which counts fans in celebs like Jennifer Lawrence, has officially been given haute couture status. Only 14 other houses are members of the elite group, including Dior and Chanel. Per WWD, The French Couture Federation has “stringent requirements” for admitting brands, maintaining the highest standards in the industry. Schiaparelli had previously been showing at couture week as a guest member. Congratulations!

Cover girl: Chanel muse Lily-Rose Depp has landed yet another major cover: Glamour France. In the accompanying spread shot at Venice Beach, Depp tries out tons of retro looks—including, of course, plenty of Chanel wares.

Throwback style: School uniform: These two words are dreaded by teenagers everywhere. Racked took a deep dive into the fascinating history behind the uniform, from military versions to the awful skirts you wore in high school. The fun facts just might blow your mind.

On the horizon: Prada has major plans for 2017 and beyond. Business of Fashion interviewed Miuccia Prada about the new Prada365, “an ambitious multi-platform endeavour.” Find out all the details on BoF’s site.
