Father Daughter Duo Sara and Saif Ali Khan To Team Up Together

Saif Ali Khan who is currently basking in the glory of his pealing performance as the troubled and honest Sardar cop Sartaj Singh in Netflix’s Sacred Games may team up with his daughter Sara Ali Khan in Nitin Kakkar’s next.

As per reports, the movie will reportedly be a slice of life relationship drama between a father and a daughter which will be both poignant and comical at the same time. The movie will have a message too. The movie will be backed by Ramesh Taurani’s brother in law Jay Shewarami who earlier has worked for Tips Films.

“Nitin and I have been in talks for a film, but it’s in the early stages. We haven’t finalized it yet. The script is good,” Saif told a leading daily.

Sara is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s much delayed Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is slated to release on November 30 this year. Then she will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming action-comedy Simmba.

Saif is being praised for his take as Sartaj Singh executes a tough role — a forty-something overweight cop, he’s the “hero” fighting greys, not just in his beard, but also the bleak moral zones that his job makes him inhabit. He is divorced, on anxiety pills and is one badly executed encounter away from oblivion in the police force. Yet Khan brings alive his character’s midlife crises and the many compromises Singh makes to inhabit a “good cop” zone with skill and dexterity.

If the real-life father-daughter duo indeed signs the project, it will mark their first onscreen collaboration.
