How a Jane Birkin Look-Alike, Model, and Stylist Shops Vintage in Paris

Louise Follain has been heralded as today’s Jane Birkin by her legions of Instagram followers, thanks to her wind-tousled bangs, plush pout, and sky-high cheekbones. Though if those features aren’t enough to convince you that Follain may be Birkin’s millennial doppelgänger, her carefree, throwback approach to dressing certainly will. The stylist and model who poses for labels like Madewell may mix a contemporary Adidas logo tank or two into her everyday look, but her wardrobe is mostly pumped full of that ’60s and ’70s laissez-faire French cool. Think retro vibes courtesy of plaid high-waisted miniskirts, denim-on-denim ensembles, and a charming kerchief around the neck, all accessorized with a motorcycle helmet (another Birkin signature, of course). Want to build your wardrobe up with those hard-to-find vintage basics next time in Paris? Here, see where Follain scores finds and how she wears them.
