“Khushiyaan-2018” An Annual event of Aarna Foundation was graced by Shri Eknath Shinde Saheb, Vaishali Sarwankar, Anandita Pagnis , Amardeep Syan and others.
Aarna Foundation, an NGO in Thane’s Savarkar Nagar, in association with ABC Little Preschool, celebrated its glorious 3rd Annual Day event- “Khushiyaan” on 19th February 2018 at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar hall. The event was filled with exciting performances by the students of the preschool and the NGO.
The event started with the lamp lightening ceremony and some of the key attractions of the show were the dance performance for Lord Ganesha, and dances by nursery and kindergarten kids. The show also gave a strong social message to stop beggary and child labour in the society by a small but powerful act. There were also live performances by a group of musicians and singers called “Dhwani Band” from VPM RZ Shah college who gave goosebumps to the audience with their soulful voice. Another live performance was of a 6 year old child, Master Swarang Randive, who is India’s youngest magician. He amazed the audience, especially the children with his charming magic tricks.
The event was graced by eminent personalities like Ms. Vaishali Sarwankar- Founder Director of Carnival Group India & CEO / Director of Carnival Cinemas International/ Singapore ; Ms. Amardeep Kaur Syan, who was Miss India Gujarat 2017 and a finalist of the Miss India pageant last year; along with Mr. Manmeet Singh Gupta, a passionate singer; Ms. Anandita Pagnis, a television actress featuring in the soap opera- ‘Dil Sambhal Ja Zara’ aired on Star Plus; Mrs. Neeti Saharan, author of the book- “It’s time to love again”, and Mr. Jogesh Jain, an author and Employability Coach. The guests were overjoyed seeing the little minds showcasing their talent on the stage.
Lastly, the function was graced by the honorable Cabinet Minister- PWD / MLA Shri Eknath Shinde Saheb and Gutt Neta & Corporator- Bal Takke Saheb, who gave their best wishes to Aarna Foundation to continue their contribution to the society.
With this show, the kids living in the slums, who were invited to watch the show totally free of cost, were amazed to see kids of their age performing and it boosted their confidence levels too. Approximately 200+ seats in the balcony were filled with the enthusiasm and joy of these underprivileged kids who must be attending such an event for the first time in their lives.
Founder of Aarna Foundation Mrs. Shweta Saroj, and Co-founder- Mr. Chinu Kwatra are thankful to the sponsors, contributors and their team members for making this event a grand and successful one. They also announced their organization’s upcoming plans i.e the launch of eco-friendly and low cost sanitary napkins for underprivileged women in the society, manufacturing and distributing free cloth bag to curb the use of plastic and the vision to upgrade their ABC Little Preschool to a full fledged school for students from Grade 1st to 10th.
